General practice

The GP practice is open from Monday to Friday between 8.00 hrs and 17.00 hrs.

The general practitioner (GP) belongs to the primary health care. For all your health problems, both physical as well as psychological, you will first be seen by the GP. The GP can treat most health problems.
When necessary the GP will refer you to a specialist at the hospital. It is not possible to visit the hospital without a referral letter.

Making appointments

Appointments can be made (only after registration) from 8.00 to 10.00 hrs and 11.00 to 12.30 hrs and 14.00-16.30 hrs by:

phone 0317-466600 (for emergency: dial 1)

The assistant will ask you the reason for consultation. This is necessary in order to determine the urgency. It is also possible that the assistant will give you a medical advice without booking an appointment.

Appointments for patients are normally scheduled for 10 minutes. Indicate if you may need more time to explain your medical condition or if you want to discuss more than one health problem.

You must give at least 24 hours notice in order to cancel an appointment. Otherwise, you will be charged. You will also be charged if you show up late or miss your appointment.

Doktersassistent

The doctor's assistant is the first person you speak when you call us. You can make an appointment with the GP. She will always ask what the reason for your visit is. This is on the one hand to determine the urgency, but on the other hand, it may be that only her advice is sufficient.

The assistant also has his own office hours. You can make an appointment with her for:

Blood pressure
Diabetes
Sexual Health Checks
Cervical Smears
Wound dressings
Removal of sutures/clips
Checking urine for a bladder infection
Syringing ears
Vitamin B12 injections and other regular injections
Treatment of warts

LSP

Your general practitioner and pharmacy will keep each of your own files. This contains information that is important for your treatment. Your GP will determine what your complaints are and what treatments you get. Your pharmacist records what medicines you are given and for which medicines you are allergic.
This data can be exchanged with the LSP (National Switching Point).

For a clear explanation about the LSP, you can watch the video below from VZVZ.
